Does anyone want me to do a fic-rec? 

I have a myriad of fics from all sorts of sites and fandoms and I’ve been needing to go through them all. (I kid you not when I say that I have nearly 19 full pages of links + some descriptions saved into a pages file.)

With so many fics, I’m also wondering how I should divide them, which fics I should include/exclude, etc. I’m guessing there will be less than a full page of broken links, and from there I can assume that a lot of the less well-written stuff will go into a separate “rec” (for those less picky readers). But because the VAST majority of my fics are SUJU-related, I’m thinking I should split it in two: one for long-fics, and one for one-and-two-shots.

Beta seeks author (or two) for wicked awesome writing team :) 

Hi guys! I’ve been into fandoms for a pretty long time now, and I would like some experience beta-ing for fanfiction. Here’s a little info about me:

Beta-ing/comment LJ: samimahain

Experience: I have a LOT of irl experience with my Creative Writing class; this past year I was assistant editor for our literary magazine, and I’m going to be head editor this up-coming school year.

Fandom(s): Super Junior is my preferred fandom, though I will beta SHINee. I may end up beta-ing Harry Potter fics as well, depending on how busy this makes me.

Restrictions: I don’t think I can beta Kyumin as a romantic pairing. (This is flexible, but barely. If you write nothing but Kyumin, or write a lot of it, I am not the beta for you. Sorry.) I can deal with Kangteuk and Yewook in moderation. Also,I will not be available for beta-ing 24/7.Please allow me some time to edit, as I am planning on finding a job and taking summer classes as well as beta-ing. One last thing: I don’t do non-con or extreme kinks.

I’m hoping to find one or two authors who 1) don’t come out with a new chapter every two days, and 2) are willing to improve their writing. I can be a bit picky when it comes to editing, and while this does stem from my semi-professional experience, it can be aggravating to some people. I do have a tendency to be patronizingly logical.

On the other hand, if you tell me I’m bothering you, I have no problem stopping my work for a little bit and cooling off. I do not want to be hostile or vindictive towards any authors I beta for; rather, I want to beta because I want authors to be open to constructive criticism, and I think being upfront, yet friendly, is the way to an author’s heart (it’s certainly the way to mine).

TL;DR: I want to beta for people. I am generally (read: more than 50% of the time) a nice, polite human being. I have experience writing my own fic, both original and fan. Drop something in my ask if you’re interested, alright? ^^ Happy writing!

I have had an epiphany. It was not fun. 

A part of my nature has always been to try to see the other person’s point of view. Which I guess kind of explains why, even as a String, I almost sympathized with Only 13.

All sympathy has since been destroyed.
